We could not be more excited to host international sensation Coinneach MacLeod, otherwise known as The Hebridean Baker, in celebration of his latest cookbook, My Scottish Island Kitchen.
Coinneach lives on the Isle of Lewis off the coast of Scotland, population 18,500. We love his accent. We love his shortbread and his tatties and his lemon curd. His recipes for teatime make us want to host a teatime. But most of all, it’s his love for his home that comes through in his stories and food we’re looking forward to hearing about.
For Books Over Drinks, there will be cocktails. There will be a treat to sample from Coinneach’s cookbook, a copy of which you will get to take home as part of your ticket. But the most amazing part of this evening is the time we’ll get to spend with Coinneach himself, hearing the legends, lore and stories from his home in the Outer Hebrides. (His name is pronounced almost like Connor, but way cooler.)
Your ticket includes a specialty cocktail, a snack, a copy of The Hebridean Baker: My Scottish Island Kitchen, and an after hours evening in the bookstore with Coinneach. This is a full presentation of wonderfulness. We’re told there will be singing.
You won’t want to miss this very special event. Check out more from Coinneach
