ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Gayle Dwyer is a local artist. She has a background in corporate training and development and upon facing retirement returned to art school in her late 50’s. Gayle is a painter and potter, and tends to use earthy, desaturated colors to help support and relay soothing, calming and contemplative art. Her paintings are generally reduced landscapes, still lifes and figurative works. She defines her painting style as interpretive realism through the use of layering, visual brushstrokes and other techniques such as sanding to expose prior layers. You can find her work on the website TheStudioArtistGallery.com/artist/gayle-dwyer/ and on Instagram at GayleDwyer_Art.
