Stop by Fountain Inn for a Saturday morning pop-up featuring local author Stephanie Kalina-Metzger and her book Eggbert, The Fat Sugar Cat!
ABOUT THE BOOK:
This is a true story about a big, fat, silly cat named Eggbert, who barely fit in the carrier his family brought to take him to his forever home. Because of his size, Eggbert ended up suffering from the effects of diabetes, but with the help of the family and the vet, he lost weight and went on to live a happy, healthy life. This rhyming picture book is fun for kids and will help open up a dialogue about the health issues that can occur when pets are overfed.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Stephanie is an award-winning freelance writer based in Simpsonville, with a focus on entertainment and business. She hopes to write more children’s books that encourage and celebrate animal adoption.
