“That’s the thing about books.
They let you travel without
moving your feet.”

– Jhumpa Lahiri in The Namesake

But sometimes you want to move, to see for yourself the places and spaces, sights and sounds that inspired the books you love. That’s what TripLit is all about.

storytelling. travel. you.

We put a whole lot of stock in the power of stories to shape the way you see the world. We believe books can illuminate the place you are, as well as take you where you’ve never been before.

TripLit is all about placing you into your own story. Whether it’s a Dinner, Day Trip, Reader’s Retreat, or Long Weekend Trip, these escapes are about wading deep into the literature that comes from and enriches life.

Long Weekend Trips

We curate trips to places far and wide, designed to bring the bookish experience to life. These are all-inclusive, extra-special, Thursday night through Monday morning excursions, chock full of activities way beyond your average touristy travel. We open the weekend with an intimate author dinner and conversation, then we get moving, taking on the sights, sounds and tastes of the books we’re reading. We’ve visited voodoo queens in New Orleans and whaleships in Nantucket, and there’s nothing really as delicious as the deep dish in Chicago. Browse through the places we’ve been, and see below the next place we’re going!
