ABOUT THE BOOK

Belle Meets Henry: On an adventure in her neighborhood of Cady Lake, Belle the Dog meets Henry the Heron. Henry wants to show Belle what the neighborhood looks like from his perspective, but how is that possible? Belle can’t fly! She’s a dog. Will Henry and Belle be able to work together to show Belle a bird’s eye view of the world?

Join Belle the Dog on her first of many adventures as she makes new friends and helps build her community through learning about and understanding her neighbors.
Suitable for Early Readers, ages 5 to 8 years.

Ew, Goo!: Snot gets everywhere and boogers abound in Ew, Goo!, the humorous rhyming children’s book written by Kathleen Siekman and illustrated by Debbie Koehler. Will our curly-haired hero have what it takes to stem the flow of goo and get better, or will her mucus take on a life of its own? Not even the cat is safe from the goo in this hilarious snot-filled story!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Writing was not something I ever thought about doing. My major in college, many moons ago, was Political Science and I have been in the corporate world ever since (except when I took eight years off to be at home with my two girls.) When my girls were 4 and 7 we decided it was time to have an addition to the family, so we got a dog. This was smack in the middle of our Disney princess phase and that is why my dog’s name is Belle, after Princess Belle in Beauty and the Beast. It was during this time that I realized I had a creative side that needed to be developed. I love watching the wildlife in my neighborhood and that is when the idea of writing stories about my dog and her interactions with other creatures came to mind. I wanted to write about the creatures that my dog meets and the curiosity of discovering that we all have a unique perspective and something to offer to the world.

I currently live in Charlotte, NC with my husband, my two daughters, and my dog Belle.
